Program Overview
This PGP certification is designed for students from different engineering and science backgrounds who wish to build a career as data scientists within their domains. Students will learn mathematics, programming, and applications of data science through a variety of courses. They will reinforce that knowledge with numerous projects under the guidance of course mentors.
The PGP is jointly certified by Case Western Reserve University and INSOFE and opens the door for several education and career opportunities.
This graduate level certification in data science will equip students to utilize existing frameworks and algorithms to solve problems and build products/services specific to their specialised engineering domain.
As Data Science now plays a critical role in many industries and across engineering and management disciplines, this certificate provides the necessary avenue for retraining and upskilling, ensuring individuals remain competitive in this dynamic job market.

The project helps to identify various factors that influence the sales of products and come up with strategies to improve business based on data exploration and analysis.
The project is about translating text from one language to another. To achieve the target, students explore encoder decoder architectures using techniques like LSTMs, Attention models, and transformers.
The project is about developing a robust model that can detect the objects in the image/video captured by the front camera of the car. To achieve the target, students will work with the state-of-the-art deep learning techniques such as YOLO version 3 to define a bounding box for object detection.
The project helps predict the sentiment of the user review(s), classifying the movie review into either positive or negative. Students explore word embeddings and LSTMs (Long Short-Term Memory) architectures to predict the sentiment of the review.
The project aims to Identify pathological factors that affect the risk of CHD and predict risk for the next 10 years based on current data.
The prediction of compressive strength of concrete based on raw materials composition and age using statistical models so as to minimize manpower, reduce time consumed and improve the quality of concrete.
Identify the factors that influence the house sale price to predict the property value. Also, students will explore methods of handling categorical attributes while training and validating the model.
Predicting customer churn for a telecom company, that helps in designing retainment strategies for potential churners.

Who can apply to a PGP in Data Science?
Students who have a bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences and have taken at least one college level course each in mathematics and programming, are eligible to apply to this graduate level PGP certification.
Students who do not meet these criteria may be eligible to apply for a PGP in Business Analytics while students who wish to focus exclusively on computer science may apply to the PGP in Computational Data Science
I am a working professional, can I also apply to the program or is this for newly graduated students?
The PGP in data science is designed for both newly graduated students and working professionals. The classes are designed such that individuals may continue working while completing the program requirements.
How can I apply to the PGP in Data Science?
Students who complete the following steps will be eligible to attend the program
- Submit an application
- Pay a fee of ₹ 3000*
- Perform well on the INSOFE Entrance Examination (INEX)
What is the duration of the program?
The graduate level certification in Data Science is a 7 months program taught over the weekends, to accommodate working professionals’ schedules.
How are the fees calculated?
The certification program fees are ₹3,50,000* + GST with the opportunity to pay the fees in installments.
Is there any financial assistance available?
All INSOFE students registered for our PGP are eligible to receive 100% loan assistance from any of the 13 leading banks in India. We can help connect you with a bank so you may pursue the graduate level certification without hassle.

Note:
- INSOFE holds the right to review the academic transcripts along with the INEX results and award the appropriate scholarship to deserving applicants.
- INSOFE’s admissions team reserves complete right towards the scholarship decision and is final.
- In addition, INSOFE believes in awarding students who demonstrate exceptional merit performance during the program. Hence it is important for the students to get recognized by employers and the social community exhibiting their technical understanding of various Data Science techniques/algorithms gained in the program.
- INSOFE holds the right to validate the badge and allocate them to the deserved candidates at the end of each module.
- The following refund policy is applicable to all program fees.
- None of the fee paid are refundable including Application, Admission and Tuition Fee.
- The fee paid is also non-transferable.
- In all of the above cases involving course fee, the student can choose to postpone the admission to the next batch. In such a case, INSOFE reserves the right to postpone admission at the current fee structure at which the fee is paid or at the prevailing fee structure of the next batch. INSOFE's decision in such matters is final and not negotiable.
Deferral Policy: (Pre Program Commencement)
- If a student, due to unavoidable circumstances is unable to commence with the cohort and requests for a deferral before the cohort starts, we provide the opportunity for the student to defer to another batch.
- However, the student will be required to pay 50% of the total course fee amount (inclusive of taxes) before the deferral can be approved. Till this is completed, the student will be assumed to be continuing in the same cohort.
- A student can request for deferral only once and from the batch start date of the initial batch, the student enrolled for.
- The student has time till the launch date of the current cohort to make the payment of the 50% program fee, post which the deferral request will expire. Once the deferral window expires and the student now asks for a refund, the above-mentioned applicable refund policy will apply.
- The fee applicable to the deferred student will be as per the prevailing fee for the batch student has opted to defer to (No additional deferral fee is required to be paid).
Deferral Policy: (Post Program Commencement)
- If a student is facing severe issues in dedicating time to the course, we provide the opportunity for the student to defer to another batch.
- A student can request for deferral only once and from the batch start date of the initial batch, the student enrolled for.
- The student will be required to pay a deferral fee of INR. 25,000 + Taxes if any along with the differential program fees between the two cohorts.
- The deferral request will be approved once the deferral fee is paid.
- Till this is completed, the student will be assumed to be continuing in the same cohort.
- The student has to raise the request from SCT portal.
- If the student completes the deferral payment, the student's login will be disabled, the student will leave the deferred cohort and the student will start learning on the new cohort from the point of the last assignment that was graded in the deferred cohort. All grades and progress until that point will be carried forward as it is to the new cohort. For clarification, the grades of the graded assignments will be carried forward, whether or not the student had submitted these grading during the initial stage.
- The deferral can only be requested during the batch for which the student has enrolled is ongoing. Once the batch has completed, deferral requests shall not be entertained. For clarification, the batch completion here shall mean the "last grace deadline" as communicated.
